How to LA Like A Boss
Visiting LA can be so intimidating! It is a huge city that is SO spread out. Each nook and cranny is so different. So where do you start? I recently spent the weekend in LA with my husband for my birthday and before that I had spent a few weeks there filming ABC’s Family Food Fight Season 1. So I think I have LA pretty well figured out.
I like to stay in Beverly Hills, there are a lot of really great hotels and it is very walkable! Although, you will certainly be outed as a tourist for walking, when one is in LA they should enjoy the weather. The main reason I like staying in Beverly Hills is the proximity to some of my favorite restaurants. Chef Nobu’s first iteration, Matsuhisa, is Beverly Hills, and Din Tai Fung from Taiwan is in the Century City Mall. It is also close to some of the most amazing shopping, which is my favorite sport.

Museums, Galleries, Shopping & More!
When I spent time in LA with my parents, we took my dad to the Petersen Automotive Museum and he LOVED it! it’s a must for any car aficionado. It’s also across the street from LACMA, which makes it the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Galleries are EVERYWHERE! I highly recommend just popping in as you are walking along. Especially in Venice Beach and West Hollywood.
My favorite shopping locations include Brentwood Country Mart, Melrose Place, Century City Mall, and Rodeo Drive (of course). Any of those spots can occupy several hours. Melrose Place is amazing for boutiques like Mansur Gavriel, Glossier, and Rebag. Brentwood Country Mart has Goop, Sid Mashburn, James Perse, and intermix. Across the street is Hatch my favorite maternity-wear brand! And between Century City and Rodeo Drive you can find just about everything else!
