Home is with Family

Home is not always being at home—sometimes it’s so nice to remove yourself from the ruckus—but home is certainly being with those you love. I love taking time to have coffee dates, lunches, and little outings with my siblings and cousins. Especially my cousin Michelle, we love to escape together over the years, and these days it might just be a short coffee date because it’s all our schedules have time for but it’s so good for the soul.

When the lattes aren’t enough and you need to follow up with doppio espressos.

We are constantly on the prowl for the best latte in Chicago. Here we are enjoying a charcoal latte and a sweet beet rosehip latte at Werewolf Coffee Bar on Elston.

You know I’m a mom because I rarely have a manicure!

I cherish our little get-togethers where we can talk about life, our memories of gallivanting all over Italy together, crazy birthdays of yesteryear, and everything that has happened in between that brings us to today. Michelle helps me put so much into perspective and she knows just when I need a mom break!
